Who left the mark? A giant footprint was discovered at the entrance to the Shulgan-Tash cave.

A giant ice trail was discovered on the grounds of the Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve, a World Heritage site and repository of ancient rock art in Bashkortostan. The reserve's staff reported the discovery.

Head of the museum and excursion complex of the reserve Azalia Ilyina, who stumbled upon the trail, as a joke I reasoned:

"Is this a yeti? Or maybe Father Frost? Or a div who managed to escape Ural-batyr's punishment?"

Subscribers joined in solving the mystery, even suggesting expanding on the topic to attract tourists. But expert geologists examined the photos and dispelled the myths. have suggestedthat the "trace" is the result of the specific microclimatic conditions of the cave, where droplets of water saturated with minerals freeze, forming bizarre ice structures.

The reserve did not lean towards such a categorical version.

"Such discoveries are a wonderful reminder of the profound connection between nature, history, and folklore. The legends of Ural-Batyr are an integral part of the spirit of this place. In winter, the cave is transformed, and sometimes it seems as if ancient tales come to life in the sparkling ice and the silence of the snow-covered forest.", - the reserve administration responded.

Because you always want to believe in miracles.

Who do you think left traces at the entrance to the cave?
