In Putyatino, the word "pomnte" was engraved on a stele instead of "remember"

Residents in Putyatino noticed a mistake on the monument after the stele was installed: contractors engraved "pomnte" instead of "remember."

"Are you all completely illiterate, or do you just not care?" Another mistake was spotted on another monument in Putyatino, Ryazan.
The contractors engraved "Pomnte" instead of "remember" on the stele honoring those who died in the 1941-1945 war. Village residents noticed the error after the monument was installed.
The error was made in the line of Robert Rozhdestvensky's poem:
"Remember! Through the centuries, through the years, remember!
“Remember those who will never come again!”
Local residents accused the administration of negligence and indifference.
"Do you even read the text before ordering an engraving? Are you all completely illiterate, or do you just not care?"- emotionally Local residents responded in the "Typical Putyatino" group on VKontakte.
Administration of the Putyatinsky District She apologized for the error and stated that the contractor had been disciplined and would redo the work. Judging by online comments, the official misspelled the word "stele" in this response, spelling it with two "l"s, but later corrected it. Residents insisted that the administration reveal the name of the contractor and the employee who commissioned the work, but officials "didn't abandon their own."
While the monument remains in place, it has been covered with black plastic.
A couple of weeks earlier, residents of Putyatino noticed spelling errors on another monument dedicated to the SVO fighters.
Similar blunders in monument inscriptions have been encountered in other regions as well. In all cases, internet users are surprised: memorial inscriptions undergo several stages of approval, and yet the errors are discovered by ordinary citizens.
