Primorye warned of delays in social payments due to the Second World War.
In Primorye, social payments may be delayed: the Ministry of Labor attributed this to the budget burden due to the SVO and asked for understanding.
Social benefits may arrive with a delay
The transfer of some payments may occur with a “time delay”, reported Ministry of Labor of Primorsky Krai.
"The regional budget is operating under increased pressure, including due to the need to address national challenges related to the special military operation," - the report says.
Officials promise that everyone will be paid in full, but they did not specify when: “as soon as the necessary funding becomes available.”
The Ministry asked for “understanding regarding the current situation.”
"They've finally admitted there's no money, but hang in there! Payment delays began in late 2025," the ministry's post read.
Primorye budget cuts for the current year
At the meeting of the Primorye Legislative Assembly on October 21, deputies made adjustments to the regional budget for the current year: revenues were reduced by 1,6 billion rubles, and expenses by 3,8 billion rubles. The cuts affected 18 state programs.
Funding for each of the three programs—healthcare development, transportation, and affordable housing for the region's residents—was cut by more than 1 billion rubles. Education spending was reduced by 644 million rubles, physical education and sports by 404 million, social support by 207 million, and culture by 124 million.
At the same time, an additional 1,5 billion rubles were allocated to the reserve fund “to provide financial assistance to certain categories of citizens in connection with the special military operation.”
