She took over the baton of single-person pickets from Igor Brykov, Lyubov Sycheva, Alena Kolesnikova, Olga Popova — residents of various villages of the Stebaevsky village council who are opposing the creation of a landfill in an ecologically clean area inhabited by endangered animals and plants.
The activists inform Lipetsk media of all their actions. At the beginning of the protest, regional publications covered the events, portraying local residents as "incompetent." When the activists received a negative conclusion from a public environmental review conducted by the Wildlife Conservation Center, local media went silent.
For over 1,5 years, residents of villages near Stebaevo have been resisting the construction of an eco-technopark in the Lipetsk region. The authorities have refused to engage. Instead, they have initiated check living conditions and upbringing of children in activist families.
