An Irkutsk village is flooded with feces because it has run out of building materials for renovations. Previously, due to a lack of coal, old houses were dismantled to make way for a boiler room.

This week local residents сообщили Journalists reported that the basement of one of the apartment buildings was flooding with sewage. This is due to the sewer manholes having almost completely collapsed.

According to residents, the utility workers who responded to the call were only able to clear out the debris from the basement and leave it next to the house. They refused to repair the well, citing a lack of building materials.

Due to a broken sewer system, foul-smelling pits are appearing throughout the village, undermining the foundations of houses. Last year, a child nearly drowned in one of these pits.

In April, the project "People of Baikal" I told A boiler plant in the village of Mama was left without coal due to incorrect calculations. To continue the heating season, old houses had to be demolished. Meanwhile, local residents complained of lukewarm radiators and a lack of hot water.
