Dagestani officials are asking the Ministry of Internal Affairs to recognize criticism of their work as discrediting the authorities.

Coordinating Council for Ensuring Law and Order in Dagestan recommended to the law enforcement agency organize  Constant monitoring of social networks to "identify facts that discredit the activities of government bodies" during the implementation of national projects: "Demography", "Healthcare", "Education", "Housing and Urban Environment", "Ecology", "Safe High-Quality Roads", "Culture", "Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship", "International Cooperation and Export", "Digital Economy". 

It is expected that a group for "counteracting destructive activity on the internet," which will be created under the Security Council of Dagestan, will monitor criticism of the work of officials.
