Residents of Rostov-on-Don heard a "loud bang." The governor explained it was "an airplane going supersonic."

Rostov public groups are reporting a "loud sound, similar to an explosion." Some Rostov residents are reporting that their windows have cracked.

Governor Vasily Golubev commented on the situation on his Telegram channel:

"Due to numerous reports of loud noises heard in various parts of Rostov and the surrounding area, the military has informed us that an aircraft has entered supersonic flight. Please remain calm."

Rostov residents were skeptical about the governor's comment:

"We didn't expect any other answer, really. Why does Moscow tell the truth about drones and so on, while they always take us for fools?"

"People joke about this version, but you're actually writing this. My cat fell right off the windowsill."

"You could hear it all over the region; it was quite a loud bang in Sulina."

Commentators from the other side quickly joined in – those who hadn't heard anything, moralizing, and generally positive:

"I'll tell you, there was silence during the Malinovsky Strike too. Totally. Nothing."

"There's nothing to do but listen to sounds and discuss them, and run around looking to take photos. It would be better if they did their job."

"Thank you to the governor for always being in touch and keeping us informed."
