Peculiarities of education: at a Ufa college, a teacher wrapped a student's head and neck with duct tape

According to the author of the video, a teacher at the Ufa Automobile Transport College (UATC) became extremely angry with a student for intentionally giving incorrect answers. The teacher solved the problem with duct tape.

"What was unclear about the words 'don't disturb anyone else's work'? You won't disturb anyone anymore, okay?" the teacher says, wrapping the student's head in duct tape. She also applies pressure to the student's neck.

The educational institution stated that they were conducting an investigation and the teacher had already been suspended from teaching.

Journalists noteThe teacher (her name is withheld) has been in the profession for 12 years and is well-regarded. She graduated from Bashkir State University with a degree in history and social studies and later earned a law degree. After graduating, she worked for a time at a car rental company and later in the Sterlitamak education department. She then moved to Ufa, first teaching at the River College and then at the Ufa Aviation Technical College.

Some colleagues describe her as a good teacher and a true professional. They believe she may have been dealing with some personal issues that led to her outburst. Other colleagues, who knew the teacher from her time at River College, say she "speaks harshly to colleagues, and she can do the same to children."
