Please rewind to the beginning: regional voices are again heard from the windows of NeMoskva

Rewind — a post-punk band from Yekaterinburg, has been around since 2015 and creates music based on the post-Soviet rock traditions of the 1990s and 2000s. The genre is a mix of post-punk, new wave, and synth-pop.
"There's no single process for creating songs. Sometimes a random phrase comes to mind. You walk around humming it, and then develop it into a whole composition. Sometimes, you first come up with a melody, jot down the words in yogurt language, and then select the right phrases and images based on the phonetics," the co-founder of Peremotka said earlier gene Volgarev. “Sometimes it doesn’t even matter what you sing, but how it feels on a physical level.”
We've put together a short playlist of Peremotki's most popular tracks—nostalgia in bright tones and a sunny atmosphere, sensual, light melancholy, and something that warms you on a cold evening and refreshes you on a warm day.

Fanfact: The band "Peremotka" is named after the film "Be Kind Rewind" by director Michel Gondry.
