"They're waiting for a tanker, but no one knows when." Rostov-on-Don residents are facing a gasoline shortage. Fuel prices have risen across Russia.

According to Rostov residents, there has been no gasoline at Rosneft gas stations for the second day.

Residents of other regions report higher gasoline prices: the price slowly climbed immediately after the presidential elections. By the end of March, the price increase fixed in 44 regions of the country at once. Fuel has risen in price even in Komi Republic, where it has always been considered one of the cheapest.

The cost of gasoline is growing and on Russian wholesale exchanges.

Fuel shortage connected Drone attacks on oil refineries have been widespread: since the beginning of 2024, there have been more than ten of them, with six refineries forced to undergo emergency repairs. As a result, gasoline production in Russia as a whole has fallen by almost 15%.

In order not to leave Russians without fuel, the authorities have already banned sell gasoline for export. In addition, Russia increased its import from Belarus: almost five times, compared to February (while in January Russia did not buy gasoline from Belarus at all).
