Police disrupted a meeting between Ekaterina Duntsova and supporters in Yekaterinburg.

Police officers entered a hotel conference room where the former presidential candidate was holding a meeting with her supporters. They took down the documents of those present, under the pretext that there were people "involved in extremist activities" in the room. Law enforcement also detained a man from the meeting, allegedly for "draft evasion."

After this, they allowed the meeting to continue, but there were 15 minutes left in the hall's lease. Meanwhile, they continued questioning Ekaterina Duntsova herself. As reported by the editor-in-chief of Vecherniye Vedomosti Vladislav Postnikov, This continued even after the lease expired.

On January 14, Duntsova announced the creation of the political party "Dawn," whose goal would be "to unite decent people who want to live in a peaceful and safe country." That same day, she was detained by police on suspicion of drug trafficking. Duntsova was released after testing negative.

UPD: Police released the alleged draft dodger after checking his documents.
