Residents of Ulan-Ude asked the military to change the flight route.

Complaint about frequently taking off planes appeared In the Telegram channel "All Ulan-Ude," residents write that living near the airfield, from which planes take off every two minutes, has become impossible.

"Since the formation of the regiment, life at Vostochny Airfield has become extremely unsettled and uneasy. Planes take off very frequently, every two minutes, day and night. Thirty takeoffs per hour. When taking off west, the plane flies over the city and moves east. We request that the takeoff direction be changed to the east. Change the locations of flyovers and exercises, and limit flights at night, early in the morning, and in the early morning hours." — stated in the appeal.

Residents cite an article of the air code that states that flights over residential areas are prohibited.

Apparently, the complaints from Ulan-Ude residents are about flights by aircraft from the 600th Military Transport Aviation Regiment. The head of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, wrote about its revival in late 2023. The regiment was downsized 25 years ago, but was reopened on December 1, 2023. The opening was attended by Vladimir Benediktov, Commander of the Military Transport Aviation of Russia.
