In Dagestan, the head of a district whose sons participated in a terrorist attack was fired.
On the dismissal of the head of the Sergokalinsky district Magomed Omarov, whose sons staged terrorist attack in Dagestan, citing the head of the region Sergei Melikov пишет RBC.
Melikov noted that he would not comment on the degree of Omarov's guilt.
"That's the responsibility of the investigative authorities. But if his involvement is confirmed, then he will be held fully accountable.", the head of Dagestan clarified.
On June 23, the official was detained. During interrogation, Omarov stated that he had known for several years that some of his children were Wahhabis. The most radical of them was Osman. According to Omarov, their relatives did not support them. On the night of his detention, United Russia announced the expulsion of the district head from the party.
Omar Magomedov's nephew, Ali Zakarigaeva, who also participated in the terrorist attack, was posthumously excluded from the A Just Russia party. Two years ago, he headed the A Just Russia branch in the Sergokalinsky district, attended meetings, and received no complaints.
