The head of Karelia filed a denunciation against a comedian for comparing the Karelian language to male nipples.
Actress from Petrozavodsk Lera Lomakin, speaking on a comedy show, called the Karelian language “creepy” and "an atavism, like nipples on men", which no one understands. Head of Karelia Parfenchikov was outragedthat she allegedly crossed the line by insulting the residents - and filed a denunciation with the Investigative Committee so that the girl would be investigated extremism (Article 282 of the Criminal Code).
Lomakin responded by publicly apologizing and explained, which mocked "people who have lost touch with their land and traditions." And among the latter is the governor of Karelia himself, due to his disdainful attitude toward language.
