The Ministry of Internal Affairs has placed Ilya Yashin on the wanted list.
Mediazona discovered the card in the Ministry of Internal Affairs database. However, no new criminal case against Yashin was officially announced.
“Apparently, they quietly opened a criminal case so that they could arrest me right at the airport if I decide to return to Russia, — Ilya told journalists. — "I'm not surprised, of course. It was to be expected.".
Ilya Yashin was released from a Russian prison colony in August of this year as a result of a political exchange. He subsequently stated that he would not return to Russia because "It was made clear to him that this would close the possibility of further exchanges."
"Let him go and then put him on the wanted list again," "Oh, contact information. Maybe I should call and say he's in Germany, and you let him go there yourself," "You let him go yourself, and then you put him on the wanted list yourself," "It's high time we realized what Russia is like today," — social media users comment.
