The Caucasian Knot publication's media license has been revoked.

The court's decision to revoke the license came into force after the publication lost its appeal. сообщает "Center for the Protection of Mass Media Rights".

The formal reason for the license revocation was that Roskomnadzor employees allegedly had not recorded any updates to the "Caucasian Knot" website for over a year.

In fact, as lawyers point out, the publication publishes news and analytical articles daily. But because the site is blocked in Russia, officials appear oblivious to them.

“The VPN in the department’s offices probably refuses to work,” The Center for the Defense of Mass Media suggests. The agency's logic is simple: if a resource is unavailable, then the publication "does not carry mass information."

"Caucasian Knot" It has been operating since 2001 and its founder is Memorial.
