In Losiny Ostrov, construction workers blocked the road with concrete blocks, making it impossible for ambulances and fire trucks to pass.

On September 3, Losiny Ostrov National Park defenders recorded a new violation in the protected area: road construction workers blocked a service access road with concrete blocks. In protest, the activists formed a human shield and recorded a video message demanding that the road be cleared.

"If there's a fire, the forest won't be saved. Women with strollers won't be able to cross these barriers. Disabled people and pensioners also walk here, and they won't be able to climb over them. The barriers were installed illegally. Forest rangers, fire trucks, and ambulances won't be able to get through. Free our forest from these villains!" the people in the video say.

As told "NotMoscow"One of the activists said that after installing the blocks, people called the police, but they didn't show up—they waited for them for over three hours. That evening, residents came to the scene and recorded a statement. Today, they plan to demand the passageway be cleared again.

"We need as many people, journalists, as possible to film how MSU-1 is fencing off the forest and recreational area of the national park not only from the public but also from official vehicles. This lawlessness is happening in broad daylight," a source told NeMoskva.

The fight against the road construction has been going on for months. Authorities believe the route through a protected area will relieve traffic congestion in the Moscow region. Residents say it will disrupt the ecology of the national park. They have repeatedly called the police, demanding that the construction be stopped. But the police fines Only activists. The contractor continues work.
