A businessman who built the "Putin highway" has been detained in Kazan on suspicion of fraud.

Construction of the M-12 began back in 2022 and was plagued by a series of scandals. Putin was initially promised completion by 2024, but the deadline was later pushed back to 2025.

Media Reported, that the bulk of the money for this project, amounting to 500 billion rubles, was received by Putin's friends - Gennady Timchenko и Arkady Rotenberg.
