"And then until 2030?" The Krasnoyarsk metro's launch has been postponed again.

Metro construction timeframes in Krasnoyarsk The project has been extended until 2028. The official reason is the long wait for a positive state expert review for the main construction phase. The work schedule at all sites is being adjusted, the contract terms with the general contractor are being pushed back, and the cost of the work is being recalculated.

"It's a complete mockery. The city center... has been disfigured for years now. Endless traffic jams, dust, closed streets, noisy construction at night—Krasnoyarsk residents endured all this for the sake of the metro promised in 2026," responded a member of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Alexey Boykov“If it were possible to just calmly move the deadlines to 2028, and then (what’s the big deal) to 2030?”

Transport Logistics Center Krasnoyarsk Territory He noted that work is currently underway at 12 construction sites for the future metro. Tunnel boring machines have already dug more than 6,7 kilometers, or 9,14 kilometers if you include existing tunnels.
