"They send everyone here." The orphaned conscript has already been assigned the battalion he will serve in on the border.
Conscript Stanislav D., who was subject to "forced conscription" last October, may be forcibly sent to serve on the border. Oleg Filatchev, a lawyer with the Civil Alliance of Russia, told NeMoskva.
"A guy from my company approached me and said, 'The commander said you're... going to the border.' I told him I'm an orphan, orphans don't go.' And he said, 'The commander said you're going to the border.' They don't give a damn, no one signs anything here, I'm sending all the conscripts to the border without anything!'" Stanislav recounted in a voice message.
Oleg Filatchev filed a complaint with the military prosecutor's office of the Krasnogorsk garrison.
"At first, they didn't want to accept the phone message. But when I asked the duty officer if he was willing to take responsibility if something happened, his tone changed and he accepted the complaint. I'm going to file my complaint in person today," Filatchev told NeMoskva.
Stanislav D. was detained in the Moscow metro, sent to a collection point, and from there, without a medical examination, to a military unit. Stanislav is an orphan, with only his elderly grandmother as his closest relative. He can be called up for military service, but only in the region where he is registered.
Stanislaus persuaded He was pressured to sign papers and head to the border—allegedly only until the end of his military service—by being put on almost daily duty with no sleep or rest at the unit, and promised 4000 rubles a day at the border instead of 2000 rubles a month for conscripts. He refused and turned to human rights activists. Due to violations, the conscription procedure is being challenged in court.
Authorities promised Don't send conscripts to the border. But in several regions, they are tricked into signing contracts and sent to war; sometimes, signatures are simply forged. Such cases have occurred in Buryatia, Primorsky Krai, Chelyabinsk и Sakhalin areas. To achieve termination The contracts were successfully signed by servicemen traveling to their duty station on a train in Ussuriysk: they signed the contracts after being beaten.
