On March 28, Kabardino-Balkaria celebrates the Day of the Revival of the Balkar People. This date reflects the tragic history of the 1944 deportation, when more than 37 people were forcibly relocated to other Soviet republics simply because they were Balkars. 

On this day, NeMoskva recalls how, despite death and hardship, the Balkar people survived this tragedy and returned to life.
