Trucks near a school: Nizhny Novgorod residents protested against a 150-square-meter Wildberries warehouse.

Residents of the Oksky Bereg residential complex near Nizhny Novgorod have recorded a second appeal to the country's leadership. They demand a halt to the construction of a logistics complex planned 70 meters from a school and 50 meters from residential buildings—where new buildings and green spaces were previously promised.
“This is the first time that warehouses of this scale are being built so close to schools and residential buildings,” claims "We don't want our children to be suffocated by trucks and risk their lives," one local resident said. "We moved here for the peace and quiet and nature," another said.
The petitioners claim there were no public hearings on the land status change. For over a year, they have been unable to obtain project documentation from the authorities, and have been told that no such documents have been submitted for approval. The warehouses are planned to replace the anticipated social infrastructure—pharmacies, stores, playgrounds, sports fields, and kindergartens.

People began protesting against the logistics center's proximity last year. Then, in response to their appeal to Putin, Wildberries responded: The location hasn't been chosen yet. But Nizhny Novgorod residents continued to draw attention to the threat. For example, in February created a cartoon: in it, the dream courtyard turns into a polluted, lifeless area.
Today on the situation reacted Bastrykin.
