Military products for the search query "Everything for the SVO" are hidden on Wildberries.

Russian marketplace Wildberries has hidden military products from search results for the phrase "Everything for the SVO." Specifically, the company removed direct displays of ammunition from special selections, distributing military-specific items across the catalog's general civilian sections.

Moving ammunition to the "peaceful" categories of the catalog

A separate section with this name didn't exist on the marketplace before, notes the publication "Vot Tak." However, when entering a search query, Wildberries consistently returned helmets, body armor, specialized military first aid kits, and other equipment.

Now, all of these products are available exclusively in the marketplace's "peaceful" categories. For example, chevrons are listed in the "Clothing Accessories" section, tactical backpacks have been moved to "Bags and Backpacks," and combat boots have been moved to "Footwear." Military gloves and tactical vests can now be found in "Sports," and FPV drones and accessories are in the "TV, Audio, Photo, Video Equipment" category.

Attacks on logistics hubs and accusations of military supplies

Consequently, these changes occurred against the backdrop of widespread attacks on the company's infrastructure. Over the past week, Ukrainian drones attacked several Wildberries warehouse complexes across Russia. According to Kommersant, the total area affected was 552 square meters. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that these facilities were directly involved in the supply of components for UAV production and navigation equipment.

"Wildberries actively sells military equipment, including body armor and surveillance devices. But most importantly, Russian marketplaces, including Wildberries, actively supply drone components to the front lines—that is, lethal weapons, which are used, among other things, to attack civilian targets in Ukraine."

Journalist Sergei Parkhomenko also offered a similar assessment of the marketplaces' operations. Specifically, he noted that Wildberries sells not only dual-use components for drones but also highly specialized equipment for UAVs and military applications—from navigation modules and antennas to electronic warfare systems and munitions release devices. As a result, hidden military goods remain openly accessible to buyers, but are now categorized under neutral categories.
