A seaport in Rostov-on-Don attacked by drones: OSINT analysis by Astra
The Rostov Commercial Seaport was attacked by drones on the night of July 27. The strike caused a fire, and thick smoke billowed over the key infrastructure facility. Journalists from the Astra Project conducted an OSINT analysis of eyewitness footage and confirmed the geolocation of the incident site.

Impact on port infrastructure and damage to residential buildings
Specifically, a powerful plume of smoke was recorded over the waters and grounds of the enterprise in the area of the fourth cargo area. Although the enterprise is geographically located on the Don River, it officially has the status of a seaport. The facility regularly receives vessels under foreign flags and handles the opening and closing of the state border for international shipping.
Consequently, the effects of the nighttime air raid were also felt by residents of nearby neighborhoods. Specifically, a residential building on Beregovaya Street was damaged. It's worth noting that the attacked portion of the port complex is located on this street.
Civilian casualties and official silence
Throughout the night, residents of the Rostov region reported a series of loud explosions, air defense systems, and fires. Earlier, regional governor Yuri Slyusar officially announced two civilian deaths and five injuries. However, authorities refrained from immediately disclosing the specific locations of the aircraft.
Ultimately, the lack of timely and detailed information sparked a wave of outrage and panic among the local population. Rostov residents are leaving a flood of negative comments on city public groups and on the governor's personal page:
"Write more precisely! Where exactly were people injured?"
"Why aren't they reporting the address where the drone crashed? I live in the proletarian district and am completely in the dark about what happened."
"If there had been timely warnings about the attack, these people might have stayed alive."
