Five people were killed and eight others were injured during overnight drone attacks on Rostov-on-Don.

The death toll from the overnight drone attack on Rostov-on-Don has risen to five, with eight more residents receiving injuries of varying severity. Rostov Region Governor Yuri Slyusar released an update on the aftermath of the attack.

Clearing the rubble of a residential building and claiming more victims

According to the regional governor, the significant increase in the death toll is due to the discovery of bodies during search and rescue operations. Rescuers found the bodies of three more previously unreported people under the rubble of a residential building damaged by a direct drone strike.

Consequently, emergency services continue to work at the scene in an enhanced mode. As Yuriy Slyusar emphasized in his statement:

"Efforts to eliminate the consequences continue."

At the drone impact site, rescuers are clearing out the damaged building structures, checking for other potential victims, and providing necessary assistance to residents.
