A 12-year-old boy has been living with a broken jaw for over a week: there's no one in Ryazan to perform surgery, and he's not getting a referral to Moscow.

He was taken to the Regional Children's Hospital (ROCH) with a concussion and a bilateral jaw fracture. There was no one available to perform the surgery: the maxillofacial surgeon was on vacation.
According to Senjar's mother, who has nine siblings, they didn't want to let her see her son, citing COVID-19 restrictions. During this time, the boy could only drink tea through a straw and eat rice, pushing it into his mouth one grain at a time.
On August 10th, he was discharged and referred to a dentist. The maxillofacial surgeon was also on vacation. The child is in constant pain.

Senjar's surgery could have been performed at a Moscow clinic, but the family was unable to obtain a referral for treatment under the compulsory medical insurance system, and they are unable to afford the surgery. The adult family members sell vegetables at the market, earning little profit.
The mother was forced to "investigate" the tragedy that befell her son herself. At the construction site of the "Bolshaya Istoriya" residential complex on 7th Line Street, the security cameras were blocked, and the excavation pit remains unfenced. The police still haven't interviewed Senjar. No one is looking for the teenagers who pushed Senjar into the pit.
