Businesses affected by attacks on Wildberries warehouses will receive a tax deferral.

The Russian Ministry of Finance has prepared a package of support measures for Wildberries and its retailers affected by the attacks on its logistics facilities. Specifically, affected businesses will be able to receive a one-year deferral on key taxes and insurance premiums.

One-year deferment and moratorium on inspections

The Ministry assures that the initiative's primary goal is to maintain the stable operation of the trading platform and minimize losses for entrepreneurs. The support includes a one-year deferment of key taxes and insurance premiums, as well as a temporary suspension of all audits. Consequently, the preferential treatment applies to mandatory payments due from August 2026 to July 2027 inclusive.

After the one-year deferment ends, entrepreneurs will be given the opportunity to pay off their accumulated debt in equal installments over the next year. However, no direct payments from the federal budget are planned. Consequently, neither the marketplace nor the sellers will receive direct compensation for goods destroyed in the warehouse attacks.

Sellers' reaction and massive sales at pickup points

Journalists from the publication "Polya Zreniia" spoke with retailers to learn how the attacks on Wildberries facilities affected them and what they think of the company's current policies.

I find it hard to understand why sellers are treated this way. We're not the only ones suffering. My goal now is to sell off the remaining inventory, even if it's below cost. But even if I succeed, I'll still have to start from scratch. I don't know what to do yet. I have almost no money for new purchases.

Wildberries owner Tatyana Kim, in turn, was completely satisfied with the Ministry of Finance's support measures. She believes the tax deferral will allow her to continue to provide high-quality service and support entrepreneurs' business activities.

Nevertheless, the situation in the industry remains tense. In particular, Avito has already posted nearly four thousand ads for Wildberries pickup points across the country. As a result, nearly every 25th pickup point in Russia is currently for sale.
