Why are there food shortages in Evenkia?

Disruptions in supplies to Evenkia began due to shallowing Lower Tunguska, which disrupted the delivery of goods along the river. Authorities organized additional flights, but their departure took several days. was postponed due to bad weather.

Amid the shortages, residents complained of sharp price increases. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case for negligence in connection with the inadequate provision of food to Evenkia.
