Free, but budget-funded: Historical films are to be shown to schoolchildren, students, and pensioners.

Putin's initiative - arrange Free screenings of films about Russian history for schoolchildren, students, and pensioners supported head of the Association of Cinema Owners Alexey VoronkovTrue, he immediately asked for funding. According to Voronkov, cinemas should be allocated additional funds for "socially significant" ones.

The head of the Association noted that current cinema attendance is significantly lower than previous figures.
"Movie theaters haven't yet reached the attendance levels of 2019. We currently have approximately 130 million visits per year, while in 2019 it was 220 million."
— Voronkov said.

Putin previously proposed allowing schoolchildren, students, and pensioners to watch films that "objectively" reflect the country's history for free. He came up with the idea after watching the film "Birth of an Empire."
