A unique Soviet mosaic was destroyed in a Saratov school and replaced with a Roerich quote containing a punctuation error.

How to пишет Kommersant reported that as recently as February of this year, the mosaic was intact and in good condition. However, even then, officials stated that the educational institution's emblem would be placed in its place. The design documentation stated: "The mosaic cannot be restored.".
Heritage conservationists assurethat this work was the most valuable thing in the building.
