A resident of the Kursk region died after massive shelling of the border town of Sudzha.

This information confirms acting governor Alexey Smirnov from Kursk region.

The number of residents injured due to morning shelling increased from 7 to 13. Residential buildings and cars were damaged.

Previously Smirnov refuted Media reports of a border breach in the Kursk region. Currently, he said, "the situation in the border area remains difficult, but our defenders are successfully working to destroy the enemy."

The task force decided to strengthen medical teams in border areas and inspect temporary accommodation centers in Kursk to relocate residents from damaged buildings.

Another resident perished after a drone struck a minibus. According to the acting governor, it happened near a border village. Nekhaevka Rylsky district. The driver died at the scene.
