Orenburg residents asked Bastrykin to investigate the criminal case regarding the destruction of the trolleybus network as quickly as possible.

A group of activists recorded a video message to the head of the Russian Investigative Committee. Alexander BastrykinAccording to them, the criminal case regarding the closure of the city's trolleybus network has not moved forward in two years.

Some trolleybus routes in the city have already been cut. The criminal case hasn't deterred officials: according to activists, they continue to deliberately destroy trolleybus service.

"Recently, a trolleybus support pole was damaged, almost deliberately, by an excavator, which led to the shutdown of trolleybus number four. And instead of immediately repairing the overhead contact pole and restoring trolleybus service, officials immediately began pushing their buses."- stated townspeople to Bastrykin.

Trolleybuses are considered the most environmentally friendly form of transport because they run on electricity and emit no harmful substances into the atmosphere. This is important for Orenburg, one of the most environmentally disadvantaged cities. Trolleybuses are also the cheapest form of transport to operate.

In December, residents appealed to Putin with the same request, but he was of no help. Activists believe that a second appeal to Bastrykin will save the Orenburg "horned ones" from complete destruction.

Trolleybuses no longer operate in cities such as Permian, Tyumen, Mound, Vladikavkaz, Blagoveshchensk и MoscowThey were considered obsolete transport and were replaced by buses and electric buses.
