Petrozavodsk animal volunteers will have their own home.

The Karelia Ministry of Property allocated an empty building for the needs of Rex Charitable FoundationIt's been empty for a long time and isn't in the best condition, so some renovations will be needed first. But then it will be a great place to gather, share experiences, and store animal feed. 

"We need help creating infrastructure. We've removed all unnecessary items from the premises. This means (fingers crossed) we've made progress, and the renovations will begin soon," told Rex volunteers.

To volunteer helpers is coming Lay the floors, do the electrical work, level and paint the walls, and install shelving and furniture. Once the work is completed, the "House of Animal Volunteers" will open its doors. 

Karelia is home to dozens of individual shelters and volunteer groups, often unaware of each other. In their new home, they will be able to get to know each other and share experiences and plans. 

There are also plans to set up a training facility for animal volunteers and dog owners to learn the ins and outs of owning a furry friend. This will also include storage space for food, cages, and cat traps. Volunteers will be able to use these facilities free of charge.
